Curriculum
Our Curriculum
Mathematics
We plan to implement Singapore Math to develop strong problem-solving skills and conceptual understanding. This approach emphasizes mastery of each concept before advancing, with Algebra anticipated in middle school.
Reading & English Language Arts
Our planned literacy program combines rich literature with explicit phonics instruction aligned to the Science of Reading. We anticipate using Wit & Wisdom to support deep engagement with meaningful texts. Approved supplemental resources include Fundations (K–3), SuperKids Reading, Orton-Gillingham, and Lindamood-Bell to support diverse learning needs.
Latin & Spanish
Latin is expected to be introduced in the early grades to support vocabulary and grammar development, with the option for formal study in middle school. Spanish is planned for all elementary students, with continued language options beginning in 6th grade.
History
Students are expected to complete two chronological studies of history—an introductory sweep in grades 1–4 and a deeper exploration in grades 5–8. We plan to utilize the Core Knowledge curriculum to help students build connections across subjects.
Science
We anticipate using Amplify Science to guide instruction in key scientific disciplines through hands-on learning and in-depth study, aligned with Next Generation Science Standards.
Fine Arts, Music & Media
Students are expected to engage with great works of art and music connected to their history studies. Media literacy and research skills will be integrated across subjects, supported by access to a media center.
A Connected Education
Our classical approach is designed to integrate subjects, helping students make meaningful connections across disciplines while developing critical thinking, communication, and a strong academic foundation.
